Warehouse Lead
A Company based in Tanzania is looking for a Warehouse Lead who can join their team
Support the companies logistical operations such that objectives are met
at the required work performance standard and in accordance with
company behaviours and values
Manage liabilities to ensure legislative compliance and achievement of best practice to meet corporate objectives
Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures and relevent goverment legislation
Focus on the customer experience
Promote continual improvement , humility and safety across the group
Supervise the daily operation and administration of the warehouse facilities in all current and future geographies
Supervise and follow up the construction of the warehouse across the group
Compile with local warehousing , material handling, and shipping
requirements by studying exisiting and new legislation , enforcing
adherenece to requirments , advising management on needed actions
Safeguard warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols
Supervise the daily operation and administration of the warehouse facilities
Assign appropriate resources , determines objectives and procedures , and monitors results to ensure inventory is accurate
Ensure materials are received, stored, shipped and reported in
accordance with established procedures and goverment guidlines
/regulations and meet contract requirments
Manage procedures and controls for hazardous material shipments
Drive the automation strategy for the group in the warehousing function,
utilize new and existing software to ensure effeciency and replication
of all systems across all geographies
Achieve financial objectives for the line of business ,
responisibilities include preparing yearly budgets and ensure cost
savings where required
Health, Safety & Environment:
Actively support the companies health, safety and environment policies and procedures
Ensure safety of workforce by education employees on proper procedures
and safety guidlines , stives to achieve and accident free workplace and
attends and participates in a variety of meetings and task force groups
to improve quality and outcome
University Degree. MBA would be a plus
At least 10 or more years experience in a logistical/warehouse environment, previous supervisory experience preferred
Knowledge or experience in the handling and management of goverment propert strongly desired
Hazardous materials certification preferred
Proffcient with computer software programs including Microsoft office, SAP, Wareouse Systems
Knowledge & Skills:
Good organisation and planning skills
Experience in managing several sites in different locations
International /African exposure
Strong Management Skills, able to efficiently organise a large team
Excellent commnication Skills and analytical skills
House, car and medical aid
Flight back home per year
Bonus dependant on performance
